Trunk doesn't work in nested repo

I have a github repo a location

, I also have

inside of

, thus

a/b/

is the path I'm looking at, this make trunk stop working. When I move a/ and /b to separate location, trunk work again.

Just ran into this on https://github.com/bevry/dorothy which places the user configuration repository in a nested directory called

user

, which is not inheriting any configuration from dorothy core, and thus isn't being formatted by trunk. Futhermore,

~/.local/share/dorothy/user

is actually a symlink to

~/.config/dorothy/user
