I think the trunk check, action, and fmt will move faster if the CLI tool is open-sourced.

I would have contributed some fixes and features if the source was available to contribute to.

Thanks for the suggestion! Definitely heard, and this is something we'll keep in mind for the future. We've moved a lot into the open-source plugins repo because of precisely this, but there's definitely more we can and will do there: https://github.com/trunk-io/plugins

Sam Lijin: moving the docs into a public repo would also allow contributions, even if the license was not open source.

Christian Höltje: we use readme.com for our docs, so you should be able to use the "Suggest Edits" button in the top right for that. (You will need to create a readme.com account and sign in with it to do so though.)
